News coming from sources close to AEW claim the Young Bucks, Omega and Cody have taken a step back from any creative influence they had.
The EVPs were very involved in the early days of the promotion but since then Tony Khan has taken a much more hands on approach. Everyone can still pitch and put their case across for an angle but Khan gets final say.
There’s no word if Khan has chose to play the owner card or if the EVPs happily relinquished some of their influence.
Whatever is happening it appears to be working. All are in a better place now in the company than they were at the beginning – Cody could be the exception because of crowd reactions lately.
The hope is Cody will turn full heel in the next few months and he’ll be off to the races too.
