We can reveal another set of AEW Dynamite and NXT ratings. This weeks numbers are a lot closer than they have been recently. AEW has beat NXT yet again this week.
Bryan Alvarez took to Twitter to report the numbers:

As Alvarez states, NXT gained an average of 715,000 viewers sitting only slightly behind AEW’s average of 730,000
AEW’s numbers last week was the highest they had achieved in a few weeks with 827,000. They dramatically dropped 97,000 from last week.
AEW had an entertaining show planned. Hangman Page was back, FTR were interviewed by Tony Schiavone and there was a fantastic main event in which Cody defended his TNT title against Jungle Boy.
An assumption could be made that the increase in AEW’s key demographic tuning into the news instead affected the numbers. With the major story across the United States being the Black Lives Matters protest taking place, people may have chose to stay up to date in these events.
Nxt’s numbers were 730,000 viewers last week meaning they only dropped 15,000 this week. They had an episode of setting up this weekend’s NXT Takeover event. The show also included Fantasma defeat Drake Maverick in the final of the Cruiserweight Championship Tournament. Although Maverick did not win the title, Triple H came out at the end of the show and offered him a new WWE contract.
