It looks like AEW are going to use Mike Tyson to help them further gain the attention of mainstream media.
It is reminiscent of when the former Heavyweight Boxing Champion of the World appeared on WWE during the Stone Cold v Shawn Michaels era. Looks like AEW are trying to follow that path.
Recently Tyson has been getting himself into training to possibly compete in one more boxing match for what has been reported as a massive purse. Tyson is a huge fan of AEW and pro wrestling in general. He was recently involved in AEW’s Double or Nothing pay per view, presenting Cody with the new TNT Championship after he defeated Lance Archer.
In the most recent episode of AEW Dynamite the promotion are starting an angle involving Iron Mike Tyson and Le Champion Chris Jericho. Alongside The Inner Circle, Jericho called out Tyson, who promptly entered the ring along with his crew.

This is not the first time Tyson and Jericho have stepped in the ring together. Around a decade ago, they were partners in a tag match against D-Generation X on an episode of WWE Raw when Tyson turned on Jericho and knocked him out.
