Gallows and Anderson were only the first of many when it came to releases this week and former OC partner and very close friend AJ Styles has now given his thoughts on their releases:

“That one hurt really bad. The only way I can explain it is that these guys are my family and I couldn’t take care of my little brothers. I didn’t manage to do that and I feel responsible for them being released. It’s devastating.”

Gallows and Anderson were part of a new wave of wrestlers coming from New Japan Pro Wrestling including AJ styles, Shinsuke Nakamura and Finn Balor.

AJ styles worked particularly close with Gallows and Anderson of late as part of the ‘Original Club’ similar to the ‘Bullet Club’ Faction they formed in Japan.
