This week’s episode of Monday Night raw was the go home episode for the Horror Show at Extreme Rules. Looking at the viewership numbers must be a real horror show for Vince McMahon and USA Network.
The numbers reported by Showbuzz Daily, show that only 1.561million people tuned in on average during the show. This is the new all-time lowest ratings for an episode of Raw. The hourly breakdown was as follows:
- Hour One: 1,580,000
- Hour Two: 1,599,000
- Hour Three: 1,504,000
This week’s show garnered over 100,000 less viewers than the previous record of 1.686 million viewers back on May 4th of this year.
Within the show we seen feuds build up towards this coming Sunday’s pay per view including Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre. We seen Kevin Owens face Seth Rollins and the main event was a tag team match to build up to Sasha Banks vs Asuka, we seen Banks and Bayley take on Asuka and Kairi Sane.
Bruce Prichard has recently taken over the role of executive producer from Paul Heyman and it seems that the change in creative is not helping claw back the viewership. Are people losing interest in WWE in general or is it just the storylines that are going on at the moment?
