The initial viewership numbers for last night’s wrestling shows have been revealed. AEW’s Fight for the Fallen on TNT has topped WWE NXT on the USA Network.
Showbuzz Daily reported It as a clear win for Tony Khans Promotion as AEW pulled in an average of 788,000 viewers compared to NXT’s 631,000
AEW’s numbers have increased from last week’s 715,00 for the second night of Fyter Fest. NXT is down considerably from the second night of the Great American Bash of 759,000
Recently there has been a lot of focus on the key demographics with AEW even making a Demo God shirt based on Chris Jericho. Unsurprisingly the important 18-49 demo was dominated again by AEW ranked at number 5, whereas NXT were ranked at number 49.
AEW’s show was packed with great match ups featuring FTR Vs Lucha Bros, Cody defended his TNT Championship against Sonny Kiss and we eventually got to see Jon Moxley defending his AEW Championship against Brian Cage.
There was one title match included in NXT’s line up with Tegan Nox taking on Io Shirai for the Womens NXT Championship. Keith Lee also faced off against Dominik Dijakovic in an impromptu double title match for the NXT and North American Titles.
