As a result of the Coronavirus pandemic, the majority of the world is suffering right now in various aspects. It is having a negative effect on people’s financial situation across the globe. Vince McMahon, however, is somehow going to make some serious money during the global health crisis.
Middleton Press are reporting that McMahon’s wealth has increased by $177million (9.8%) from $1.8Billion to $1.977Billion.
In the report, Tom Swan, CCAG Executive Director discussed the fact that eight of Connecticut’s fourteen billionaires have seen their wealth dramatically increase during the Coronavirus pandemic. Here is what he had to say:
“This report is a stark reminder of the level of inequality in Connecticut. It also makes clear that any austerity arguments are disingenuous when the legislature begins to grapple with Connecticut’s legacy of white supremacy and looming budget challenges.”
Back in April WWE released almost thirty members of staff from their contracts from in ring talent to producers. Those firings seemed even harsher when it was reported that it was a cost cutting exercise to ensure that the company did not just break even during the pandemic but made a profit.
