At AEW’s Double or Nothing pay per view, we seen Lance Archer Defeated by Cody who won the first TNT Championship. The result did shock a few fans around the world as it was assumed Archer would continue his undefeated reign.
The action-packed match or result were not the biggest talking point however, the main attention was the appearance of the brand new TNT Championship Belt.
AEW have some amazing looking belts at the moment, and the World Championship is one of the most aesthetically pleasing belts in all promotions. However, the design of this recent belt left a lot to be desired. Here is a reminder of what Cody won at Double or Nothing.
During the pay per view, commentary mentioned multiple times that the TNT Championship was not yet complete due to the Coronavirus pandemic. We now have an image of the finalised title belt that we will see on AEW shows over the next few weeks. The image was posted on the AEW website showing what the TNT Championship will look like when completed.
AEW have added gold plating around the side of the plating which does contrast a bit with the silver colour. To be honest we are still not completely convinced with the design. However maybe our opinion will change once it is seen live on TV.
