WWE Shockingly released several wrestlers, backstage staff, and writers back in April as part of a cost cutting exercise due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Amongst the in-ring athletes we seen Kurt Angle, No Way Hose, Drew Maverick, Rusev and many others. NXT was not safe from the cuts and the company parted ways with stars such as MJ Jenkins and Deonna Purrazzo.
On last weeks episode of Impact’s wrestling show Deonna Purrazzo appeared in a vignette for the company. Her contract was with NXT meaning that she only had a 30-day non-compete compared to the main roster stars who have a 90-day clause.
Apparently, Impact are not finished in swooping in to take in the former WWE stars as the promotion have put out a promo for Slammiversary which teases the appearance of several of the recently released stars.
The video includes a glimpse at Eric Young, Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows, EC3 and Mike & Maria Bennett. The clip concludes with a massive hint towards Rusev being featured in the show by presenting a Bulgarian flag at the end of the clip.
You never know where future endeavors may lead.

While it is unlikely that all the advertised stars would sign a contract with impact, the fact that they would make an appearance on the upcoming pay per view is going to drum up massive interest for the promotion. Slammiversary is set to air on July 18th and looks like it will be well worth a watch.
