It has been confirmed via WWE.com that due to the Covid-19 virus that Sami Zayn has abstained from competing in a WWE ring and therefore, has vacated the IC Title with immediate effect.
Zayne won the title back min March but hasn’t been seen at WWE TV for quite some time.
Sammy has always been an outspoken wrestler in the locker room and has stood up for himself and others on many occasions
WWE Backstage also confirmed that a tournament will be held to crown a new champion, starting from this Friday on Smackdown.
