Former AEW Champion Chris Jericho has stated on the latest episode of his livestream that Tony Khan and management at the promotion know exactly who leaked spoilers for a recent Dynamite segment. Jericho described the leak as an NXT reject “spy”
We reported the spoiler from Reddit last week regarding Eric Bischoff making a guest appearance at AEW. He was the guest moderator for the debate between Chris Jericho and Orange Cassidy.
Chris Jericho addressed the leak of Eric Bischoff’s appearance, saying that they know who leaked the spoiler and that the individual in question will never be brought back to AEW.
Here is what the DemoGod had to say regarding the leaked information:
“Social media is a different ball of wax, though. I think the amount of people who are on social media is very small compared to the overall people watching. For example, when we had the debate and Eric Bischoff was announced on Reddit — and we know the spy is, by the way. Oh, we know. He’ll never f**king be back in AEW. [An] NXT reject was a spy, so print that.
“I was like, listen, we can announce this or we can just not announce it and don’t worry about it and see, you know, the people that know will know and maybe they’ll watch if they weren’t going to. The people that don’t know, will still be surprised. That’s exactly what happened. People were super surprised that Bischoff was there and it worked out great.”
It is quite possible however that the leak worked in the favour of AEW. The episode in question drew in the promotion’s best viewership since March. It looks like whoever is responsible for the leak has helped AEW instead of sabotaging them.
