MVP while in the VIP lounge made an announcement on Monday Night RAW. He told us that next weeks live show will include three Money In The Bank Qualifying matches.
The first match will see Rey Mysterio take on Murphy. Mysterio did an interview on the show where he reminisced about Kane cashing in the briefcase on him in 2010. He then said that he respects Murphy and sees a lot in him but Murphy doesn’t want it like he does. He said he would win and become Mr. Money in the Bank.
The second qualifying match will be Austin Theory vs. Aleister Black. Both men got wins on Raw as Theory defeated Akira Tozawa and Aleister Black beat Oney Lorcan. Theory was all over the show as he, Andrade and Angel Garza formed a stable led by Zelina Vega.
The final match, will be Apollo Crews vs. MVP himself. While Crews has yet to compete in one of these matches, MVP has competed in three in 2008, 2009, and 2010. With his most recent appearance coming a decade ago, we will have to see if his increased age and experience plays a role.
The pay per view is currently scheduled for May 10 and is most likely to be broadcast from WWE’s Performance Centre instead of its scheduled Arena in Baltimore.
