This week has been a stressful one for WWE. After this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, it was announced that someone within the Performance Centre had tested positive for COVID-19. WWE then had to have everyone within the company tested before recordings could take place.

In the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, we got more information on the identity of the person who tested positive. There have been conflicting reports up until now as to who the infected member of staff could be.

“The performer who tested positive was a female wrestler in NXT who has not been used on television. She has been one of the fans in the crowd, and was last used in that role on 6/9.”

The fact that she was part of the crowd means that she has likely encountered several others while the tapings were taking place. None of the wrestlers around the ring wear facemask but are told to stand apart from each other.

Luckily however it seems no one else within the company has been infected by Coronavirus. Wrestling Observer Newsletter also reported that since WWE tested all members of staff, there have been no further positive test results:

No positive test results have been reported so hopefully nobody else was infected by her.
