Like recent WWE pay per view events, SummerSlam is very much unresolved. We have been keeping you up to date with the situation and now we have some more new details on the event.
WrestleVotes took to Twitter today to reveal several details they believe to be correct about the event. Information including WWE and relationship with the host City, WWE wanting fans in attendance and when we are expected to see the show.
What I’ve learned from sources on SummerSlam.
– WWE wants to remain as is, city of Boston has made it clear that’s not likely
– WWE is activity hunting for a new location w/ fans
– Keep an eye on the South, FL & GA.
– Date MAY be pushed into September
– No word on TakeOver

It is clear WWE wants things to return to normal but that is not currently in their control. The Boston Mayor recently made comments making it seem unlikely for large gatherings to form in the city anytime soon which really hinders the wrestling companies plans.
The post makes it appear that the southern states of Florida and Georgia are the ones to watch for a potential relocation. Most likely due to the fact the Governor has been pushing to have sporting events return to normal, or as normal as we can in the current climate. Georgia and Florida are the two states where WWE and AEW have filmed since March. There is also the possibility that the show may also be pushed until September.
Finally, there is still no word on the status of NXT Takeover. As always we will keep you as updated as we possibly can on the situation.
