For the first time MostlyWrestling are giving you the odds for an NXT Takeover alongside our predictions for the show. NXT Takeover has never failed to live up to expectations and with almost all brand new matches we hope to see some new innovative wrestling and storytelling rarely found on the main roster. Every NXT title is up for grabs and could we potentially see all the Undisputed Era with gold? Or will they all be without a championship by the end of the night. As always gamble responsibly and let us know your picks too.

NXT Women’s Championship Shayna Baszler vs Mia Yim

Shayna Baszler has been almost unstoppable since winning the NXT Women’s Championship beating the best NXT had to offer including Kairi Sane, Bianca Belair and Io Shirai. Baszler hasn’t even had to use Duke and Shafir to help her retain her title in the past few defences so we could see Mia Yim put up an incredible fight but only to be screwed by the Horsewomen. This would help build a star in Yim while not putting the belt on her for the sake of it as it doesn’t feel right for Yim to be the one to beat Baszler for the title, at least not right now. Having her lose via interference but putting in a strong showing would help everyone involved as well as whoever would eventually beat Shayna for the title. Therefore we’re predicting a title retention for Baszler here, at least for now. Shayna Baszler to win 4/7

Candice LeRae vs Io Shirai

Io Shirai’s heel turn was exactly what she needed to build another badass woman on the NXT roster. Turning on Candice LeRae only made it so much sweeter to see Shirais bad side finally bubble to the top. However we can’t actually see this leading to Shirai picking up the win here. If we want this feud to last some time we need to see LeRae pick up the win here with Shirai attacking her after the match to keep her heat. LeRae can be a big star in the future but she needs a push and she needs it sooner rather than later. A win here could even see this building to the LeRae feuding with Shayna Baszler for the NXT Women’s Championship in the future showing her as the underdog babyface and possibly the person to finally dethrone Baszler once and for all. Candice LeRae to win 9/4

NXT North American Championship Velveteen Dream vs Pete Dunne vs Roderick Strong

Velveteen Dream is always a delight to watch in the ring but we feel as though he has gone as far as he can with this Championship run but the question is who will dethrone him? Pete Dunne has arrived on NXT from NXT UK hungry to hold championship gold again and Roderick Strong has a lot to prove in the Undisputed Era since betraying Dunne to join them. This should be a highly entertaining match but the winner of the match is the hardest to predict on the card. Dream could hold the title to help build its credibility, Dunne could win the title to build credibility for the NXT UK brand showing that competitors from there can hang with those from NXT and Strong has been a mainstay in NXT for years. Roderick Strong has yet to actually win a title for the Undisputed Era and we think he will prove himself here by bringing the North American Championship back to the Undisputed Era by getting another one over on Pete Dunne. Roderick Strong to win 1/1

NXT Tag Team Championship Street Profits vs Undisputed Era (Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly)

The Street Profits won the NXT Tag Team Championship in a fatal 4 ladder match after the wrestlers formerly known as The War Raiders vacated the championships so they could go to Raw where they compete as the Viking Raiders. Then a few weeks later Street Profits started turning up on Raw every week as the champs. If WWE are wanting to call up this team already now would be a good time to have them drop the titles to a pair of safe hands in the well-established team of the Undisputed Era. With Street Profits having already been appearing on Raw over the past few weeks we can see them dropping the titles in order to pursue the Raw tag titles potentially straight away after Gallows and Anderson mocking them for losing their titles. Fish and O’Reilly have been a mainstay in the tag division of NXT since debuting and all signs point to the title change. Undisputed Era to win 5/6

NXT Championship 2 out of 3 Falls Match Adam Cole vs Johnny Gargano

Cole vs Gargano 3. First bout was incredible, Second bout was phenomenal. This bout has the potential to blow the other two out of the water. The first fall will be decided in a Street Fight as chosen by Gargano. The second fall will be a singles match as decided by Cole. Should a third fall be necessary then this will be decided by NXT General Manager William Regal leaving an air of mystery to the match. We’re sure that this match will go to 3 falls with Gargano most likely winning the first fall and Cole winning the second. The third fall however is where everything can change. If the fall involves no disqualification expect to see interference from the Undisputed Era and possibly Tommaso Ciampa. We’re hoping for a Ladder Match or Last Man Standing Stipulation to add to the drama of the match but without knowing what the fall is it’s difficult to predict. If we have to choose then our head is telling us Adam Cole will successfully defend his title. This will see the night rounded out with the Undisputed Era holding all the gold in NXT proving that they are…… Undisputed. Adam Cole to win 1/2

What do you think of our predictions? What would you change? It should be a good show as always. I’ve been MostlyGary and we look forward to hearing from you in the comments.
