At last nights Money in the Bank pay per view event, Otis won the ladder match earning him a guaranteed WWE or Universal Championship Match.

The victory came when AJ Styles and King Corbin both struggled at the top of the ladder. Elias came from nowhere and hit Corbin with a guitar causing him to fall and Styles to drop the Briefcase into the hands of Otis at the bottom of the ladder

Over the past few weeks, Otis has become a fan favourite, but some say it is far too soon to give him a world championship. However, this may not be WWE’s short-term plans for him.

Prior to the pay per view event, Otis revealed to Digital Spy that if he won Money in the Bank he would use the briefcase to challenge for the Smackdown Tag Team Championship with his partner Tucker

Although this may raise the profile of the Smackdown Tag Team Championships, fans might consider this the wrong decision. Otis should cash in on one of the main championships but only time will tell.
