Its that time of the week again when AEW Dynamite and NXT ratings have been released for all to see. In this weeks numbers NXT were beat by AEW with 66,000 more viewers tuning in to Tony Khan’s promotion.

Bryan Alvarez took to Twitter today to inform us that NXT pulled in an average of 707,000 while AEW gained 773,000, topping their rival once again:

Alvarez also Tweeted that both Wednesday night shows put together beat the third hour of this week’s Monday Night Raw:

The numbers for both promotions are impressive considering more sports have now returned to live TV, giving people more of temptation to switch the channel.

NXT gained viewers on their numbers from last week. They still lost the weekly war but they are up from last week’s 615,000. The black and gold WWE show continued to build towards NXT Takeover with Dexter Lumis qualifying for the Ladder Match for the North American Championship.

AEW on the other hand were slightly down from their viewership of 845,000 last week. In this week’s episode we seen Cody take on another independent wrestler for his TNT Championship. This week he faced Warhorse. MJF made a statement and challenged Jon Moxley to the AEW World Championship. We also seen the AEW debut of Ariane and Matt Cardona (Zack Ryder). This week and the next few weeks will be leading up to All Out In August.
