On Last Night’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Cody defended his TNT Championship against independent wrestler Warhorse. After the match Cody was jumped by John Silver and Alex Reynold of the Dark Order for a major beatdown.
Warhorse tried to save Cody but he ended up getting taken out also. They then turned their attention to Arn Anderson. Before they could attack him, Matt Cordona came out to save him. You may well know Cordona as Zack Ryder who was recently released by WWE.

Cody and Ryder have been friends for real life in years. Their families vacation together, and it seemed it was only a matter of time before he made his debut with AEW. Cody had been previously asked if Cardona would join him but he always replied that he did not want it to become “All Friends Wrestling”.

Cordona has clearly been working out since his release from WWE back in April. He looked massive! In next week’s episode of Dynamite, he will make his full debut in a tag team match with Cody against Dark Order.
While at WWE Cardona got himself over using YouTube and social media. However, WWE did not work with this fully and failed to capitalise on his self-made momentum. Surely AEW will be able to?
