The Wrestling Legend and WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair has recently said that he continuously asks creative within the company if he can compete for one of WWE’s championships.

Flair has appeared on several shows recently, he has been in the corner of Randy Orton for a number of weeks. On Monday’s episode of RAW, Orton beat 24/7 Champion R-Truth in a bout that only lasted a couple of seconds.

In an interview with Busted Open Radio, Ric Flair said that he keeps asking if he can wrestle R-Truth for the 24/7 Title. Here is what he had to say:

“I keep wanting them to let me wrestle R-Truth for the 24/7 Title [Laughs]. I’m getting to the level where I’m comfortable. I’m like, ‘Can I just get into character one time?’ Talking generically is killing me. When you don’t do it, you’ve got to practice, and you get overwhelmed in terms of the points you have to make in terms of the pay-per-view and the people, I’ve always struggled with that. It’s so much fun for me and they’re doing everything possible to make sure the kids are being tested and everyone is wearing a mask. I have fun and won’t let them get down around me, and I don’t think they are, they all have a positive attitude.”

The 24/7 title has been held by multiple wresters from present and past such as WWE legends Gerald Brisco, Pat Patterson, Ted DiBiase amongst them.

With his recent health conditions WWE are right to be cautious over letting Flair exert himself in any way. It would be great to see the Legend get a hold of the title.
