After being removed from TV lately, it is being reported that WWE will be giving a tag team a gimmick overhaul before letting them return.
Steve Cutler, Wesley Blake and Jaxson Ryker, known collectively as The Forgotten Sons, were set to challenge The New Day for the Smackdown Tag Team Championships. However, the faction was removed from TV appearances due to Ryker sending out a Tweet supporting Donald Trump during the Black Lives Matter movement.
It has been reported by WrestlingNews.co that there is talks of bringing back just Blake and Cutler as a duo. The two members made it perfectly clear that they did not support Ryker’s views. Ryker never made his in-ring debut and only ever appeared as a corner man for Cutler and Blake.
It has been discussed that perhaps without the Tweet from Ryker, the American Patriot Heel gimmick probably is not the best idea considering the situation in USA at the moment. Looks like Cutler and Blake will be getting a new image before returning.
When Ryker sent out the Tweet, several members of the WWE locker room took to Twitter to show their upset over the comment including Kevin Owens and Mustafa Ali
We have not heard any information on the status of Jaxson Ryker at this time. We will keep you up to date if anything is released about his contract with WWE.
