In recent months we have seen a steady decline of viewers for both Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown. To help gain viewers we have seen the return of some WWE legends such as Christian, Edge, and the big show. Fans have suggested that it is only a matter of time before we see Shawn Michaels or Stone Cold Steve Austin make appearances.

Whether that was suggested as a joke or wishful thinking, it looks like it may become a reality. It is being reported that WWE is planning to honour a Hall of Famer in the coming weeks and that he will appear on TV following the sound of shattered glass.

WrestleVotes took to Twitter to report that WWE plans to honour the career of Stone Cold Steve Austin in the near future. They also noted that he will return when crowds of fans can be in attendance.

A few months ago, WWE honoured the 25-year career of Triple H on SmackDown. It seems his former rival Stone Cold will receive the same treatment in the near future. That date is still to be confirmed, but as mentioned in the Tweet it will not happen until after fans are allowed to return to shows.
