Former WWE Spanish commentator Hugo Savinovich has revealed what actually went on behind the scenes in the aftermath of Crown Jewel when wrestlers were left on the tarmac for 6 hours – missing Smackdown in the process.
WWE’s official communication blamed issues with the plane. However, given Vince McMahon’s obsession with making sure his flagship shows go ahead as usual if this was the case he would have got a hold of another flight from somewhere.
The reality Hugo Savinovich claims as the truth and not hearsay is the Saudi’s demanded the wrestlers get off the plane after Vince McMahon pulled the live feed streaming to Saudi Arabia over unpaid fees.
WSN write that Vince McMahon hasn’t been pis for two of his shows as of yet and retaliated by cutting the feed. This sent the Saudi’s into a rage and demanded the wrestlers get off the flight they were about to take off on.
By this time Brock Lesnar had already left in his personal jet and McMahon with a chosen few got to ride on his jet back to the states.
The WWE wrestlers left behind are said to be incensed by the situation they found themselves in.
This is what happens when you deal with poisonous regimes.
