As part of a cost cutting exercise brought on by the Coronavirus pandemic, WWE released over thirty members of staff. Back in April we seen both in ring athletes and backstage staff lose their contract with the company.

Several weeks later we seen Drake Maverick, one of the athletes who got released, got offered a new contract with the company. It was reported that WWE had made more offers to bring some of the released wrestlers back.

One member of the company who got released by WWE was Karl Anderson former Raw Tag Team Champion alongside his partner Luke Gallows. Reports say they are expected to return to NJPW where they were part of the original Bullet Club.

While on Twitter, one fan believes that Gallows and Anderson will be returning to WWE. According to Karl’s response it seems very unlikely that it will happen.

Gallows and Anderson leaving WWE came as a bit of shock. Their former partner AJ Styles was so enraged that their firing caused a massive backstage argument between him and Paul Heyman which ultimately ended in Styles moving to SmackDown.
