In a recent report, WWE’s plans for Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman have been revealed. Only read on if you want to read potential spoilers for the next few weeks/months.

It is being reported by WrestlingNews.co that the latest plans within Vince McMahons company is to have Reigns win the Universal Championship as early as tomorrow’s pay per view. It is being speculated that Reigns will be triumphant in the three-way match against Braun Strowman and defending Champion The Fiend at PayBack.

The report also mentions that although The Big Dog is being positioned as a heel for now, WWE want to see him get a positive reaction when fans come back to shows. The eventual goal for the promotion is to see Reigns become the ‘ultimate babyface’ and become the main man in WWE similar to John Cena’s status.

Apparently, the original plans were for Reigns to win the Universal Title from Goldberg at WrestleMania, but those plans had to change with Braun Strowman taking his place to allow Reigns to stay home during the Coronavirus pandemic.

Reigns is a former Universal Champion and never actually lost his title. He had to relinquish it back in 2018 to undergo treatment for Leukaemia.

If Reigns does win the strap at this weekend’s PayBack it would mean that Wyatt would only have held the title for seven days after beating Strowman last week making it the second shortest title reign in the history of the belt.
